Tourist numbers to Iceland decrease for the first time in years
Departures of foreign passengers through Keflavik International Airport were 147 thousand in April which is a decrease of six thousand since last year.
According to these figures from the Iceland Tourist Bureau and Isavia, the decrease amounts to 3.9 percent which is the first time that tourist numbers have declined since 2010.
The nations that visited Iceland most in April were people from the UK and the US. The biggest decrease in tourists were those from China, a decrease of 30.9 percent.
