Yellow weather warning for South Iceland

The Iceland Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for South Iceland and the area around Faxaflói bay and warns of strong gusts of wind near the mountaints. People should be expecting difficult travel conditions, especially for vehicles not equipped for winter travel. 

 Wind and snow are on the number one road leading to the South, Hellisheiði. The road is also very icy, according to the Iceland Road Administration. Other roads in South and South West Iceland are mostly clear.
