The Iceland Met Office has issued a weather warning for Tuesday morning.  The Reykjavik Fire Department says that there may disruption to school and that parents or guardians must accompany children aged 12 or under to school. 

 This especially concerns children living in upper areas that need to cross open spaces on their way to school.

Weather conditions in suburbs such as Grafarholt and Norðlingaholt will be most extreme with winds of up to 25 metres per second.  The weather is expected to reach its worst just at the time when people are going to work or school, at around 8.30 AM. 

The wind will be accompanied by heavy rain or sleet causing bad visibility.
