Icicle damages in Iceland
The heavy snow that came down last week is staying put in people’s gardens and on people’s roofs, and creating long icicles as parts of it melts and refreezes.
Some damage due to icicles breaking off and landing on cars has already been reported. The weather forecast predicts the temperature over the next few days will all be above zero, so there are likely to be more.
There are two things to do in this situation. Watch out for icicles, or reach up if you can, break them and eat them. Kids know it, they’re delicious!
