Icelandic snowboarding champion Eiríkur Helgason, known as Eiki, has created a new project called Ísland-Born, which includes a short documentary, a magazine, a video and a website, island-born.com.

In the film you can see the farm on which he grew up as well as unusual snowboarding destinations by the waterfalls Aldeyjarfoss, Dynjandi and Dettifoss, frozen by the winter temperatures. "That's gained a lot of notice," he explains. "It's not an ideal location for snowboarding, it's really humid and the cameras get coated with ice, and so do my clothes and the snowboard. But it was worth it for the footage and I don't think anyone has done that before. "
