Icelandair has added Aberdeen in North-East Scotland to its list of destinations and direct flights between Iceland and this beautiful city are now running four times a week.

Aberdeen reportedly offers a distinguished Scottish mixture of whisky, golf and historic castles.

Morgunblaðið photographer Árni Sæberg got on a flight and captured these images of Scotland's third biggest city.

The Aberdeen flights will be operated by regional airline Air Iceland, using 72-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft out of Keflavík International Airport.
