The CEO of Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air has told USA TODAY that the airline expects to announce at least one more US destination in 2016 with “a lot more” to follow in the future.

In an interview with the US news outfit, Skúli Mogensen says that traffic on their existing routes to Boston and Washington DC has exceeded expectations, including business passengers.

Flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco begin this summer, and further expansion in the American market is promised.

Pursuing the “ultra-low-fare” model, WOW air aims to offer US passengers prices as low as $99 one-way to Iceland and $199 on connections to Europe.
