WOW air begin ticket sales to US west coast

Ticket sales at Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air for new flights from Iceland to Los Angeles and San Francisco have opened today.

San Francisco and Los Angeles are the airline’s fifth and sixth destinations in North America, with services beginning on 9 and 15 June, respectively. WOW air is the first Icelandic airline to offer direct flights to Los Angeles.

The airline will operate the routes using Airbus A330-300 wide-body jets, the largest type of aircraft ever to operate scheduled flights to or from Iceland.
