WOW air to fly to Nice next summer

Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air has announced a new direct route from Iceland to Nice, France, with ticket sales opening today.

The new service will begin on 2 June 2016 and will run through to mid-September. Nice is WOW air’s third French destination. The airline already serves Paris all year round and operates a summer-season direct flight to Lyons.

There is expected to be good demand for flights to France next summer as Iceland kicks off its Euro 2016 finals adventure.

According to WOW air, some 3,000 people currently on a waiting list for football package deals to France next year. On 12 December, the draw to determine Iceland’s qualifying group will take place and travellers will know in which cities their home team will be playing.
