Storm warning for East Iceland

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for eastern areas of Iceland for the next 24 hours.
A deep area of low pressure is forecast to hit East Iceland by tomorrow, bringing with it heavy rain and sleet, falling as snow on high ground.
Storm winds (over 45 mph) are also expected in most eastern areas, gusting to 80 mph in mountainous areas. Conditions should subsequently improves on Friday night.
