Stories from nature protecting nature

Icelandic beliefs surrounding elves and trolls are the subject of a new short video published today on BBC Earth.

Melissa Hogenboom travels to Iceland in search of supernatural beings and uncovers a “deeper truth”.

The Icelanders and experts in Icelandic national belief that Hogenboom speaks to reveal a new dimension to the traditional elves and trolls story, including musings on how belief in stories from nature can lead to greater belief in and protection of the selfsame nature.
