“Life without animals would be empty”

Elma Rún Bene­dikts­dótt­ir is one of life’s incurable animal lovers. Her particular interest is birds and she has been involved in bird photography since 2008.

“I love nature and everything that lives and moves in it,” Elma Rún tells mbl.is. “I always played outside as a child – either on the beach or in the forest and mountains. Life without animals would be empty.”

Elma Rún puts her heart and soul into the photography of Icelandic wildlife and some of the stunning results of her work are above for us all to enjoy.
