VIDEO: Arctic Fox eats biscuit
An unusually tame Arctic fox was spotted outside the Ion Hotel at Nesjavellir, near Þingvellir National Park on Saturday. Two men caught the fox on camera whilst he was feeding on hand-fed biscuits.
"He was out there in the lava, some 20-30 meters away, and when he heard our bag rustling he came to see what was going on," said Ingólfur Guðmundsson who along with his friend Kjartan Lorange spotted an unusually docile Arctic Fox at the Ion Hotel car park. He added that the birds they had hunted, which they kept inside the boot of the car may have attracted the animal as its behaviour was very unusual.
Staff at the Ion hotel will not be feeding the fox as they believe that there may be some danger to having a wild animal feeding at such close proximity to the hotel.
