PHOTO: When will it go?
New cracks have appeared on Ketubjörg cliffs in northern Iceland and locals think that a large chunk of the cliff face may split from the mainland very soon.
Iceland Monitor first reported on this awesome sight last month, but locals first began to notice something afoot back in February.
The cliff is 60-70 m high and just a few metres from Iceland’s national Highway 1.
The gap between the cliff face and the hanging rock is now a metre wide. The police and scientists are patrolling the area and warning signs will soon be put up.
