Icelandair to Brussels all year round
Iceland’s national carrier Icelandair has announced plans to begin flying to Belgian capital Brussels all year round, reports Icelandic tourism and travel website turisti.is.
For the past six years, the airline has flown to Brussels only during the summer season, with winter passengers having to fly non-direct or land in Paris or Amsterdam and take the train.
From this winter, Icelandair will now be flying to Brussels throughout the winter three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The cheapest return fare is ISK 38,305 (approx. €260).
Some 15% of passengers on this route are Icelandic. The vast majority are Belgians visiting Iceland or Americans travelling to Brussels with an Iceland stopover.
