Eclipse: Best conditions were in Iceland

According to Sævar Helgi Bragason, director of the Seltjarnarnes astronomy society, the best conditions for viewing the solar eclipse were in Iceland, much better than in the British Isles and in the Faroe Islands. 

Thousands of people gathered at the University of Iceland to observe the eclipse, including Bragason. The astronomy society had placed several telescopes in the main building of the University and the rest put on their solar eclipse glasses. Bragason was moved by the event and said it exceeded all expectations.
