SKÁL receives a Bib Gourmand Michelin award
Tiny restaurant Skál, situated at Hlemmur food hall in Reykjavik has just received a Bib Gourmand award from Michelin.
The award is for good quality, good value restaurant and it's a very prestigious recognition although it's not a Michelin star.
Skál has a sister restaurant in the Westman Islands called Slippurinn, a much larger restaurant that inspires the dishes at Skál.
Chef and owner Gísli Matthías Auðunsson said in a Facebook post tonight: "I'm so happy and thankful I could cry."
