The Ísey skyr with a layer of peach hit the spot.

The Icelandic Ísey skyr from dairy company MS won the skyr class at the International Food Contest in Herning Denmark that took place 13th-15th of November. Ísey skyr competed against and beat manufacturers such as Arla and Løgismose.

“We are happy that Ísey skyr won, it is also a recognition on the strong tradition and skills we have as skyr makers that translate into great products for the Nordic market in cooperation with our partners.” Said Björn S. Gunnarsson, Head of Product Development MS Iceland Dairies.

The skyr with a layer of peach in it was developed by MS Iceland Dairies (Mjólkursamsalan) but is produced by the Danish company Thise, Mejeriet Dybbækdal for the Finnish market and is currently only available there. Judges notes were that the skyr has great texture, balance between fruit and acid in the shells and just hit the spot.

Ísey skyr is a skyr brand owned by MS Iceland Dairies and is currently available in 17 markets around the world. All Ísey skyr contains original Icelandic skyr cultures.
