Gourmet dining in Grundarfjörður, West Iceland

The small town of Grundarfjörður, perched on the northern side of the Snæfellsnes peninsula now boasts of a fine dining restaurant with a wonderful view.
The restaurant is called Bjargarsteinn Mathús and is owned by couple Guðbrandur Garðarson and Selma Rut Þorkelsdóttir. Selma is a Grundarfjörður native and settled back in the town a few years ago. The restaurant is particularly popular with tourists and serves a wide array of fresh Icelandic ingredients.
