Lamb Street Food is a restaurant that offers a new take on Icelandic lamb  as a fast food using the best available ingredients.

Owner Rita Didrikssen opened the restaurant with her husband Ásmundur Pálmason. "I believed in this idea, it's been a bit of a struggle to come up with the perfect lamb cone and to open but as soon as we opened and got such a fantastic reception I'm even more convinced that I did the right thing."

Didrikssen, a former teacher devised the idea of serving lamb in a more middle-eastern fashion. "We place emphasis on the ingredients. We offer wraps using Icelandic lamb and Icelandic ingredients from local farms.

The head chef is Glen Moyle who hails from New Zealand, another country famous for its lamb.

The interior design at Lamb Street Food is also quite notable with markings that reflect ear markings on Icelandic sheep.
