lmost half of the Icelandic population, or 46 % eat lamb once a week or more. Another 26 % eat lamb 2-3 times per month. Only 4% never eat lamb. 

These are the results of a new survey by Maskína for a marketing project called Icelandic lamb which has been set up by the marketing council for Icelandic lamb in Iceland. 

Almost everyone who ate lamb were happy about the quality of Icelandic lamb. The popularity of lamb in Iceland increased somewhat during the past year but the sale of poultry enjoyed the biggest increase.
