The Icelander Guðmundur Felix Grétarsson underwent the first double arm and shoulder transplant in the world and it is now 17 months since his 15 hour operation in Lyon in France. Last Friday Grétarsson appeared on the TV show Good Morning Britain to talk about his operation and his recovery after this miraculous operation. His wife, Sylwia Gretarsson Nowakowska,was with him on the set.

Grétarsson lost his arms in a horrific accident in 1998. His recovery since the operation is nothing short of amazing and he is now able to use both his hands, something he hasn't been able to do over twenty years.
