Enjoying sunny weather today in Reykjavik
Sunshine and clear skies greeted people in the city this morning. The temperature was around 16 degrees Celcius (approximately 60 Fahreinheit) and many went to enjoy the weather in the swimming pools or meet and greet people downtown enjoying the weather.
The geothermal beach in Nauthólsvík was full of life and laughter. Children were playing on the beach and in the water and having a great Sunday.

Protest in front of the Russian Embassy residence
Some people decided to use the good weather to make a statement and a group of people were outside the Russian Embassy residence in Túngata today protesting the war in Ukraine, but earlier in the day the protesters had been in front of the Russian Embassy.
The group decided since it wasn't a working day that it would make more sense to gather in front of the embassy residence. Many of the protesters brought the Ukrainian flag to show their support for Ukraine. Túngata was closed for traffic while this was going on and police was present, but the protest was peaceful.
