Icelandic actress Ágústa Eva lands major role in new HBO series

Icelandic actress and singer Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir will be playing the main role in a new HBO series filmed in Norway and Lithuania. She was selected out of hundreds of applicants. 

This is reported by Smartland, the style and celebrity section of mbl.is. 

The new series takes place in the Viking Age and Smartland says, "Undoubtedly her red hair and cheeky smile will capture audiences."

Amongst the roles Ágústa Eva has played are Eva Lind in the film Jar City from 2006, Auður in Country Wedding(2007) and she took part in Eurovision in 2006 as the character Sylvia Night.
