First Lady wears thrift store jacket to the Edda awards
Iceland's version of the Oscars, the Edda awards took place on Sunday night. Iceland's First Lady, Eliza Reid, looked stunning in a black jacket to show support for the #metoo movement like most of the women at the event.
When asked about where the jacket was purchased on Facebook, Reid said that she'd simply bought it at the Red Cross thrift store in central Reykjavik.
The Presidential couple, President Guðni Jóhannesson and Eliza Reid are very popular in Iceland for their down-to-earth attitude. Reid's style evolution since stepping into her new role has also received a lot of praise from style critics.
And as for the Edda awards, the winners of the evening were the Prisoners TV series and film Under the Tree.
