Icelandic Eurovision Stars in Carpool Karaoke

Svala Björgvins is one of the favourites for the final night of Söngvakeppnin (the Icelandic pre-Eurovision competition), invited two Icelandic Eurovision stars to join her for a carpool karaoke.

The Eurovision stars are Selma Björnsdóttir, who was the runner up in Eurovision in 1999 with her song All Out of Luck. The other star is Jóhanna Guðrún (also known as Yohanna), who was the runner up in 2009 with the song Is it True?

The carpool karaoke features a chat about the Eurovision song contest and how they felt participating, but it’s all in Icelandic. The interesting part for our non-Icelandic speaking readers is that they sing their very successful songs. Of course, it’s a karaoke!

Svala Björgvins is a successful L.A. based singer/songwriter. Her song Paper, though not a typical Eurovision song, seems to be a favourite this year.
