Exclusive album stream: New Útidúr release
Útidúr are releasing an album cover that's an artwork with a download code, available at the release party at Bíó Paradís today.

Icelandic band Útidúr is releasing their third studio album today called Bila-St.Æðin, recorded partly at Sundlaugin, the Sigur Rós studio in Mosfellsbær and by the band themselves.
The band has kindly allowed Iceland Monitor to host an exclusive stream of the new album.
You can listen to the exclusive live stream on Iceland Monitor here below
Útidúr play ambitious chamber-pop with a dramatic streak. Although this charismatic crew is quite (midnight) sunny in attitude they also know their way through darker waters, with traces of Angelo Badalamenti, Beirut, Calexico and Ennio Morricone found in their music.
The new album features influences that range from classical music to Indian and Eastern European music, a mixture of rhytmic melodies with strings and wind instruments.
The album cover is an artwork, or book designed by the lead singer Gunnar Örn Egilsson and contains lyrics as well as a download code.
If you're in Iceland, the band is hosting a released party at Reykjavik art house cinema Bíó Paradís today. The album will be played in its entirety at the cinema hall 3 at 5 pm. Entrance is free and so are the drinks!
