This morning, Reykjavík menswear boutique Húrra began selling the coveted (by some) Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black shoes designed by Kanye West for Adidas. To ensure their pair, several Icelanders camped outside the shop.
The shoe is available in very limited numbers around the world and are in high demand and on Ebay they're being sold from between 800 - 2.100 USD although at the Húrra shop they're going for a more modest price of 35 thousand ISK.
The person who had waited in the queue for the longest had camped outside since Wednesday. And when we say camped out, we really mean it- Iceland Monitor observed a few tents outside the shop during last night's snowfall.
Each customer could only purchase one pair and was not allowed to try on the shoes.
