“Optimistic” about extra Bieber gig

There is as yet no confirmation of an extra concert date for the Icelandic stage of Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour next September, but organisers are “optimistic”.

Tickets to Bieber’s September 9 gig in Kópavogur sold out in half an hour earlier this month, with thousands of fans left disappointed.

“There is every intention of adding a second concert, although no date has been confirmed,” says Ísleif­ur Þór­halls­son from organisers Sena. “We do not unfortunately have full control over the course of events or the timeframe, but we’re just as optimistic as before.”
