Sunday heralds the arrival of Bjúgnakrækir, or Sausage Swiper, one of Iceland's thirteen thieving Yule Lads. To celebrate this, the Hlemmur Square hotel is hosting a special event where children are invited for hot chocolate, cookies and of course, sausages.

Hlemmur Square, a hip hotel/hostel located at the top of Laugavegur main shopping street  in fact is the home of the only real sausage restaurant in Iceland. The aptly named Pylsa/Pulsa (meaning sausage in Icelandic) offers  handmade sausages made from scratch to European traditions using only meat and herbs. The smell from the  restaurant, which is  located on the hotel's ground floor will hopefully entice the curious Sausage Swiper in coming by.

To add to the Christmas Spirit, the Melodia Chamber Choir will be performing Christmas carols for the whole family.
