An Anti-Christian Metal Fest to chime in Christmas
The annual Andkristnihátíð, or Anti-Christian festival will take place at Gaukurinn, Reykjavik, tomorrow night. Appearing on stage are bands that include the Icelandic Mysþyrming.
The festival is the longest running Metal Music festival in Iceland and traces its roots back to the start of the millenium when it was started as a protest against the State Church and how much money the government of Iceland had spent on celebrating one thousand years of Christianity in Iceland.
This year the festival will be more Black Metal oriented with some of the best bands Iceland has to offer in this genre.
US band Aureole will be joining the Icelandic artists and the evening starts at 9 pm on Friday night.
