Design a light scheme for Harpa
Anybody who has walked past Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre will almost certainly have seen the building decked out in some impressive light scheme, often marking a special occasion or supporting a specific cause.
Now Harpa – in cooperation with Studio Ólafur Elíasson and the City of Reykjavik – are giving you the chance to decorate Harpa yourself and have announced a competition for art works utilising the stunning façade of Reykjavik’s iconic building.
The winning proposal will be displayed during the Reykjavik Winter Lights Festival on 4-7 February 2016. The winner will receive a cash prize of ISK 200,000 (approx. € 1,400).
All details on how to enter the competition can be found on the Harpa website here. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 23 December.
Last year, the southern façade of Harpa was turned into an interactive version of the classic arcade game Pong.
