According to police records, approximately 120 thousand people came to the centre of Reykjavík last night to participate in the Reykjavik Culture Night festivities which came to a close with a magnificent firework display.
Despite heavy rain during the daytime, crowds enjoyed a multitude of cultural activities including concerts, art exhibitions and performances.
After the final main concert at Arnarhóll featuring Icelandic band Stuðmenn, a firework display choreographed by Sigga Soffía took place in front of cheering crowds of all ages.
