Icelandic brewery, Borg, has been invited to participate in the London Beer Carnival this year taking place in October. Árni Long, master brewer at Borg says that it's a great honour to participate in this prestigious festival.

Amongst the international breweries taking part at the festival are Evil Twin, Priarie Artisan Ales, Anchorage and Buxton. Over fifty breweries take part and all are selected for their excellent quality of beer.

"We have to present twelve varieties of beer," says Long. "We're making new products every year and we've had plenty of time to be able to select our best beers. " Among the beers presented are Freki Brett IPA, Surtur Imperial stout, Leifur Saison, Garún imperial stout, Úlfur IPA and 14-2 White stout as well as a couple of brand new varieties that still haven't hit the shops in Iceland.

Long says he's excited about the festival. "It's always really good fun meeting colleagues in the business. You always learn something new." He adds that Icelandic beer culture is growing rapidly and that the country now offers excellent beer.
