Icelandic musicians Friðrik Dór and Ólafur Arnalds have opened a new restaurant downtown called Reykjavik Chips. The only food served is chips, served in Belgian style paper cones with a variety of speciality sauces.  Their friends, Arnar Dan and Hermann Óli also participate in the project.

Friðrik Dór says that the idea comes from Belgina chip shops, " I love fast food and I wanted to open a new, fresh take on a fast food joint. "

Reykjavik Chips offer a selection of beers to accompany the chips, which are served with sauces with names such as Harakiri, Hannibal, Andalúsia and Samurai and there's also a vegan sauce variety.

On their first day of opening on June 17th, the chips completely sold out which probably means they're off to a pretty good start.

Reykjavik Chips is located on Vitastígur 10, 101 Reykjavik.
