Breasts made into candles
Artists Harpa Rún Ólafsdóttir and Elín Anna Þórisdóttir organised an event last night, "Með eld í brjósti," at the Reykjavik City Hall on the day celebrating 100 years of women's vote in Iceland. They had made 100 candles moulded from the breasts of 100 Icelandic women.
The candles were lit at the City Hall creating a beautiful atmosphere, accompanied by the singing of a women's choir. The candles were created in various colours to celebrate diversity and the fire was meant to symbolise the fighting powers within women.
