Shaman to the stars comes to Iceland

Los Angeles based Shaman Durek is a shaman, spiritual guide and healer whose clients include Hollywood stars, royalty and CEO's and he's about to visit Iceland for the second time. Durek is here "To bring love and inspiration to those who need it. "

He's not able to reveal the names of these stars and tells mbl.is that,"the reason that celebrities come to see me is that I don't talk to the media about them. I understand their need for privacy."  Durek will be arriving mid-June and will be offering three two-hour  courses as well as private sessions. On June 27th and 28th there will be a special Shaman Bootcamp focusing on mental and spiritual wellbeing. 

Durek, who according to his website comes from a long lineage of spiritual healers has some notched up some pretty cool things on his CV including being a member of secret London society The Lavender Group, living with the Sufi's to study the practices of the Whirling Dervishes, learning herbology in the jaguar jungle of Belize, studying Catholisism in Italy and the Bhagvad-Gita in San Francisco. At age 30, he even died according to his website, being declared clinically dead with paralysis and brain damage. 

For Durek, this experience was an expected part of his life’s journey as a Shaman. “A true Shaman must go through many intense trials of pain and loss – some of which are life threatening – to develop the strength, belief, and conviction, I was able to survive a death-to-life transformative, it was my determination to reach my life’s goal: to teach people how to empower themselves by making spirituality more accessible daily.”

So why should people attend a course with Shaman Durek? "The insights people will receive are of great value," he says. "Imagine people obtaining the power held by only celebrities and leaders," he explains. "This information hasn't been accessible to the public until now. I think people have the right to know what only one percent of people know. By attending a course you will achieve a new understanding of life. "  So what does he say to sceptics? 

"Doubt is normal," says Durek. "I hold healing powers but the only true healer is yourself," and adds that each person is divested with an energy which they don't know how to use. 

"There's no hocus-pocus involved," he says. "It's about connecting with your inners self instead of the person that changes according to the wishes of others."
