Reykjavík's first beach bar

Bar Ananas, or "the pineapple bar" is the latest addition to the Reykjavík nightlife scene. The bar, which opened in November is not located anywhere near a beach but offers a range of cocktails and features cheery décor such as sand and of course, pinepples.

The bar has become popular with artists, musicians and other creative types and is a cosy venue to inject a bit of summer into the darkness of the Icelandic winter.
