Mæna is a magazine published by final year students of Graphic Design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. The annual magazine showcases the talents of graduating students and it's coming fresh from the printers today for DesignMarch.
Each year has its own theme, and for the 2015 issue Mæna dealt with systems and designers, academics and students wrote articles on the subject focusing on an academic discourse and innovative ideas.
The team consisted of 17 students, editors Birna Geirfinnsdóttir and Bryndís Björgvinsdóttir and creative director Lóa Auðunsdóttir. The project is aimed at broadening the horizons of both young students and working graphic designers for a more focused view of graphic design.
