Reykjavik Fashion Festival, RIFF, takes place this year between March 12th- March 15th in Harpa. Six Icelandic designers will be showing their creations on the catwalk for the event. Two new designers will be showing this year: Linda Björg Árnadóttir for Scintilla and Ása Ninna for Eyland.
Árnadóttir is however no novice when it comes to fashion, being the director of the fashion design department at the Iceland Academy of Arts and having worked with designers such as Anna Molinari and Martine Sitbon. Her own label, Scintilla has until now focused on homewear but is now for the first time doing a line of clothing.
According to Árnadóttir, Scintilla will focus on lounge wear using knits and jersey with graphic prints and colours.
The other designers participating are Guðmundur Jörundsson for JÖR, Magnea Einarsdóttir and Sigrún Halla Unnarsdóttir for Magnea, Sigríður María for Sigga Maija and Ýr Þrastardóttir for Another Creation.
