3.9 magnitude earthquake in Bárðarbunga
Today at 10:37 am there were two earthquakes in the Bárðarbunga crater. The first one was of size 3.7 and was followed by another of size 3.9.
"There has been some activity there in the last few days, but no signs of volcanic activity and few aftershocks have been recorded. Earthquakes of this magnitude are quite common at Bárðarbunga," says the announcement from the Icelandic Meteorological Office.
On Thursday, an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded in similar areas.
