Culture Night: Gas pollution not expected

Gas pollution is not expected during the Reykjavík Marathon or Culture Night tomorrow, according to an announcement from the Icelandic Meteorological Office.
In a post from the Icelandic Met Office on Facebook, it is said that gas pollution from the eruption area on the Reykjanes Peninsula is carried by the wind to the south from the volcano and will not affect residents and visitors of the capital area or participants in the Reykjavík Marathon.
Tomorrow there will be a northerly wind direction in the capital area, 7-10 m/s first in the morning, but slower in the afternoon, and usually 4-6 m/s in the middle of the day. It will be partly cloudy and temperatures will range from 7 to 10 degrees.
