An amazing spectacle unfolded when the Coast Guard's helicopter flew over the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula not long ago.
In pictures taken from the helicopter, you can see how the red-hot lava flows from the fissure that stretches along the Sundhnúkagígar crater row.
