Seismic activity on the Reykjanes Peninsula has remained stable for the last few days, with minor seismic activity, and everything seems to be under calm conditions.

This is what a natural disaster expert at the Icelandic Meteorological Office says in an interview with mbl.is, but as was reported yesterday, the system is actually as good as ready and it is expected to erupt in the next one to two weeks, if the magma will be able to get through.

The last eruption at Sundhnúka crater ended on May 9.
