A new government will probably be presented today

A press conference has been scheduled at 2 pm in Harpa, where the chairmen of the government parties, Bjarni Benediktsson, Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson, and Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson will speak to journalists, who will most likely present a new government.
According to sources close to Morgunbladid, the new government of the Independence Party, the Progressive Party and the Left-Green Movement may be announced today and should be able to take over no later than tomorrow.
However, not all of the solutions have been finalized, so many things can still change, but then the parties' respective institutions need to address the proposals of their chairmen.

Benediktsson likely the new Prime Minister
As far as possible, Bjarni Benediktsson, the chairman of the Independence Party, will become prime minister in his second ministry.
It is announced that Progressive Party chairman Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson will become Minister of Finance, while Svandís Svavarsdóttir will take over the Ministry of Infrastructure. However, Þórdís Kolbrún Gylfadóttir will return to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As before, many things may still change, but this was the situation last night. It was not so clear who would take over the Ministry of Food, but it would remain under the control of the Left-Greens.
Other ministries were expected to remain unchanged, and the number of parties partaking in the government will therefore be unchanged.
