Hvalur hf. has appealed to protesters Anahitu Babaei and Elisha Biou. This is confirmed by Deputy National Police Commissioner Kristján Helgi Þráinsson, when interviewed by mbl.is yesterday.

“There was an appeal for a housebreaking from Hvalur hf. earlier. The questioning of the two women is just about over and they will then be released. This case will then follow them on and go on into process,” Þráinsson told mbl.is.

It was around 3 PM yesterday that Anahita Babaei and Elissa Biou met the police’s request to come down from the masts of two whaling ships called Hvalur 8 and Hvalur 9, where they had been since the early hours of Monday morning.

Whale 8 and Whale 9 are off to the fishing ground to fish. The boats left Reykjavík harbour from the beginning at four yesterday afternoon.

Here below is a video when the whaling boats were leaving yesterday for the fishing grounds.
