The Reykjavik District Court has rejected the request of four MP's from the Centre Party to gather evidence to make a case against Bára Halldórsdóttir who famously recorded six MP's having a conversation at the Klaustur bar.

"I was hoping for this conclusion," said Halldórsdóttir speaking to mbl.is. "Of course I'm happy to have an answer to this."

The matter is not over however as the MP's may be filing personal lawsuits against Halldórsdóttir.

Asked whether she fears such a lawsuit she replied, "I'm not afraid of that. But it would be additional stress for me which I could do without as I suffer from an auto immune disease and arthritis which worsens under stress."

Halldórsdóttir is in fact so sick that she has a disabled status. "I'll take whatever comes. I hope that at least it will bring some rights for informers in Iceland."
