Death in Kópavogur under investigation

A death that occurred in Kópavogur yesterday is under investigation by the Capital Area Police.
Police confirmed the case but released no information at the time.
According to a statement issued today, police received a report shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday of an unconscious man in a private residence in Kópavogur.
The deceased was around 40 years old
“Police went straight to the scene, but the man, who was in his forties, was found to be deceased on arrival,” the statement reads.
It adds that the circumstances of the death remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. Interviews were conducted yesterday and will continue today, but no one is currently in custody in connection with the case.
No further information will be provided at this time.
