Mogensen sentenced to life imprisonment
GuðmundurMogensen, a 41-year-old Icelander, has just been sentenced to life in prison by the District Court of Solna in Stockholm, Sweden, for the murder of 63-year-old Kristina Bah at her home in Akalla, northwest Stockholm, in October last year.
The killing was a revenge hit ordered by the Dalen crime gang, following a previous case in which Bah’s son had been accused — and later acquitted — of manslaughter in spring 2021.
Mogensen was found guilty of murder and attempted murder, having also tried to shoot another woman. According to the court, he carried with him a list of people he was assigned to “visit and kill” on behalf of the Dalen gang. Negotiations for the murder contract were conducted over encrypted messaging platforms.
Mogensen is, to mbl.is’s knowledge, the first Icelandic contract killer in modern history, and also the first Icelander ever sentenced to life imprisonment by a foreign court.
His former girlfriend, Julia Nilsson, aged 22, received eleven years and ten months in prison for her role as an accomplice to both the murder and attempted murder. Another accomplice, Robert Ingesson, aged 52, was sentenced to thirteen years and ten months for the same crimes.
