Two musical worlds collide as Björk and Rosalía join forces on Berghain, a new single that has already captured global attention. At the same time, Björk celebrates the release of Cornucopia Live, a concert piece that fuses sound and vision into one.

Berghain, which also features the artist Yves Tumor, has already reached top positions on Spotify with over 26 million streams and has received widespread critical acclaim. In the song, Björk sings in several languages — German, Spanish, and English — weaving operatic vocals with symphonic textures.

“An honor to be part of this song”

“It’s such an honor to be part of this song with Rosalía,” Björk said in a statement. “It’s been a joy to watch this woman grow — congratulations to her on this incredible record.”

Rosalía, in turn, has described Björk’s voice as “capable of splitting the sea in two,” calling her one of the “guiding lights” behind her new album LUX, which will be released tomorrow, November 7.

The two spoke about the song and their friendship in a recent interview with Le Monde . This is not their first collaboration — they drew global attention last year with their track Oral.

A matriarchal creation

Björk’s concert film Cornucopia Live captures the intersection of music and performance art and is being released on vinyl, CD, Blu-ray, and streaming platforms. The production features the Hamrahlíð Choir, Manu Delago, and Katie Buckley, among others. Björk describes the show as “a modern lanterna magika for live music” and says she’s thrilled to finally share it.

“It’s been a long journey with hundreds of people helping along the way. I’m beyond grateful to every single person who took part,” Björk wrote in her newsletter.

“I feel that the concert film, as an art form, is a matriarchal phenomenon that fits perfectly with the spirit of our times — a space where female artists can share their worlds without compromise.”
